Safeguarding statement

Root Reboot is being built as a supervised after-school computing academy. Safeguarding, parent consent and age-appropriate access must be in place before children receive programme or lab access.

Operating commitments

• Manual review before a place is offered.
• Parent or guardian consent before attendance and account creation.
• Clear acceptable-use rules for devices, AI tools and Silica Lab access.
• No automatic public route into private lab systems.
• Escalation to appropriate safeguarding processes if a concern is raised.

Silica Lab

Silica Lab access is a privilege for approved learners. Accounts should be pseudonymous where practical, supervised and separated from production systems and private operational data.

Before launch

A full safeguarding policy, incident procedure, staff suitability checks and site-specific operating rules should be confirmed before regular provision begins.
